Thanks to my colleague Lindsey Farquharson who spotted this interesting event promoting careers in the textiles industry – Rebecca
A great headline article from the Herald about textiles and traditional industries, with Prince Charles attending the ‘Stitch In Time’ festival today at Dumfries House in Ayrshire. The event is aimed at secondary school pupils, who will have a chance to talk to people from the textiles industry and fashion designers, but the messages are for the wider Scottish audience and promoting textiles and manufacturing and profile raising for the industry.
The bottom line – more young people are needed to support the active textiles and traditional manufacturing industries in Scotland.
